Fiano

Fiano

Ancient vine of the Roman era, Fiano was named Latino to distinguish the vine from the origins of Greco.

It is a rigorous vine that prospers well in soils of volcanic origin such as clay deposits.

The name fiano was traced back to the bees who would have been greedy to acquire the grapes sugar.

Another hypothesis about this name arrives from a variety of apple (Appiana from Appio) or from an ancient synonym for the Peloponnese.
