Lovely expression of fresh lime and apple fruit with hints of fennel through to a bone dry and mouthwatering finish.

In 1923, Chuo Budoshu was established in Katsunuma, the birthplace of the wine industry in Japan.

Grace Wineries efforts to make good quality wine, while taking into account the climate and the soils as well as using modern techniques, are evident in this stunning example of the Koshu grape.

The Koshu, the Japanese traditional variety, are grown in a mountainous district , which increases the concentration of flavour.

The soils, climate and viticultural efforts all help to produce highly concentrated grapes and therefore high quality wines.

Grapes:    100% Koshu

Region:    Japan / Yamanashi province

Maker:     Ayana Misawa

Notes:     Light and floral in style, the freshness and elegance of this wine is quite remarkable. The palate, like the nose, shows lemon and grapefruit notes, and a peppery spicy nuance with minerality on the finish. It has thirst quenching acidity.

Serve:      At 10-12c it is delicious with most Japanese dishes, stronger flavour dishes of fish and poultry. The thirst quenching acidity calls out for Salmon Sashimi!
