Cantina Bonacchi, founded in 1965, is a family owned winery that is situated in the heart of the Montalbano Hills, that lie between the towns of Florence and Pistoia in Tuscany, Italy and has been making fine Tuscan wines for 3 generations

The family owns 40 hectares of vineyards in the Chianti Montalbano and Chianti Classico Gallo Nero as well as 10 hectares divided between Brunello DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino DOC and the Sant'Antino DOC, and 15 hectares from Montecucco DOC vines.

Bonacchi's combined production comprises 60,000 HL stored in barrels, barriques, oak tonnaux and modern steel tanks.

Cantina Bonacchi is ISO9001 2000 and IFT certified.

Grapes:       100% Sangiovese

Soil:              Dry rocky and exposed hills.

Vinification:  Using traditional methods.

Serve:          At 15-16°C to accompany cold meats, cheese, pasta and roasted pork. 

Colour:         Brilliant ruby red with a good intensity.

Taste:           Similar characteristics to Chianti. It has a typical flavour of cherries with a hint of liquorice. Best drunk young to enjoy the fresh fruit flavours.
