| RECOMMENDED - Decanter World Wine Awards 2010 Run by two brothers married to two sisters, the Domaine Tabordet estate in Sancerre was expanded in 1988 to include 8 hectares in Pouilly-Fumé. This is located at Pouilly-sur-Loire in the Central Vineyards region of the Loire Valley in France. Grapes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc Soil: Marne-Kimméridgien chalky clay. Vinification: Pneumatic press then into temperature controlled tanks. The wine is aged for 6 months before bottling. Colour: Pale yellow-gold exhibiting greenish tinges Nose: Initially quite shy but opens out showing floral and dried fruit scents. Citrus fruits and yellow peaches afterwards. Taste: A powerful, full-bodied white wine with strong fruit flavours of apricots and peaches. A good length with citrus zest on the finish. Serve: Not too cold (12°C) with fish and seafood. Also makes a good aperitif. Cellaring: Best drunk 10-12 months after release but can be kept up to 4 years. | Available Options: | | Vintage: | | |
