| The appellation of Chablis is over a 100 kilometres from the most northerly part of the nearest, central-vineyards of Burgundy, France. Domaine Jean Goulley is a relatively new company that was formed in 1986 when Jean, already an owner of 6 hectares of vineyards realised his old dream of looking after his own vines and to make his own wine, full time. 10 years later, his son, Philippe, joined the family company. Of the 6 hectares, 4.5 are in the Premier Cru districts of the area and today constitute the heart and soul of the Domaine, which has now grown to 18 hectares, producing around 11,000 cases a year. Domaine Jean Goulley makes excellent examples of dry, mineral and fullly balanced Chablis Their white wines are quite superb!
