It is here that Umberto and his wife Giuliana chose to start their company in 1965 by buying 20 hectares of land in the hills between 200 and 800 metres above sea level. Today the Company owns 1000 hectares divided into distinct vineyards; La Casetta, Parolino, Cà Grande and Laurento each of which provides the perfect micro-climate for the vines.. Umberto Cesari’s exclusive and innovative MOMA project promises a toast to the art world . It pays homage to Bologna-born Giorgio Morandi, one of the most important Italian artists of the 20th century. A new label, dedicated to a contemporary artist, will be chosen by a panel of experts every 3 years. Fermentation took place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is kept in stainless steel tanks until sterile bottled.
