This historic wine making country is now producing wonderful dry wines (normally labelled 'Trocken')
These have a fabulous balance of acidity, fruit and relatively low alcohol as well as good mouth feel and great length. This style is epitomised by the Rheinpfalz, an area which is drier, warmer and sunnier than most parts of Germany. |
