| Lots of tropical fruit flavours give this wine a unique style. Bottled on the estate. The vineyard is sub-divided into very small lots, for nutrient and water requirements on an individual basis. This helps to ensure balance, ripening and consistency of the grapes. Vina Echeverria is a long established Chilean family owned and managed Estate, producing high quality wines. Their 75 hectares of vineyards, in one single block, and their state-of-art winery are located on the outskirts of the town of Molina in the Curicó Valley, 200Km south of Santiago. Vina Echeverria only make wine from their estate grown grapes, all of which originate from ungrafted select clones of pre-phylloxera French rootstock Grapes: 100% Estate grown Sauvignon Blanc from pre-phylloxera French rootstock. Harvest: Hand harvested in March. Age of Vines: 17 years old Soil: Loam & clay with well drained gravely subsoil. Vinification: Destemmed and chilled to 8C. 2 to 4 hours skin contact maceration at 8C. Pneumatic pressing and 24 to 36 hours static sedimentation at 8C. Fermented in stainless steel tanks at a constant temperature of 11-16C for 25 days. Alc 13%, R/s 3.9g/l Colour: Pale yellow with green tinges. Serve: Chilled as an aperitif or with fish and pasta dishes. Taste: Bright, lively and fresh white wine with a long and lasting aroma of ripe green melons and grass.
