| Some 50% of Pellegrino’s sales are for still wines and the company is regarded as one of the most innovative in the south of Italy. In the 1970’s the company was the first to market a range of wines produced from native grape varietals and they have continued to seek the individualism and character of the true wines of Sicily. This strategy is now paying dividends, as people tire of the classic varietals, they are coming to respect traditional wines from Sicily. What customers are also finding, to their benefit, is that Sicilian wines offer fantastic value for money. The winery benefits from ISO 9002 and is BRC listed.
