| Pegoes is distinguished by a unique “Terroir” and is characterised by the combination of poor sandy soils, rich in water, with the Mediterranean climate on the proximity of the Atlantic sea. This combination creates a perfect harmony, that brings an excellent environment to the development of these noble grapes, as indiginous and at home in Portugal as the Tempranillo is in Spain! Grapes: 100% Touriga Nacional Region: Peninsula of Setubal, Portugal Production: 7,000 bottles Grower: Jaime Quendera Notes: A delicious aroma with black berries and spices well integrated with the Oak, Strong in the mouth with very good tannins and structure with a long lingering finish. Ageing: 6 Months in American and French oak barrels, followed by 4 months in bottles. The quality improves during the first 10 years.
