| Santo Isidro was founded in 1958 in the small village of Pegoes. The winery and vineyards are located in Terras do Sado, the coastal region of the Setubal peninsula. This area benefits from the mineral-rich sandy soils. Santo Isidro de Pegoes is one of the most forward thinking cooperatives and their chief winemaker, Jaime Quendera, is a leading wine entrepreneur in Portugal. The winery boasts the most up to date equipment; a computerised, temperature controlled modern winery, with 90 stainless steel vats, pneumatic presses, 1,600 oak barrels and modern bottling lines. Grapes: Moscatel de Setubal 100% Region: Portugal / Lisboa / Moscatel de Setubal DO Maker: Jaime Quendera Notes: Amber in colour, with intense aromas of orange peel and honey. The wine is rich and sweet but has a refreshing acidity. Serve: At 14°C - 16°C with desserts or as an aperitif or digestif. Ageing: The wine will age for 50 years.
